The stage is mostly filled by young londoners from diverse backgrounds but also brings in performers of an elder age. Deken, the events host, once worked for the bbc as a journalist for many years and decided to give it up to be able to help U.K talent (especially young talent) find their feet and offer them a platform to showcase their work.
